Survivor Day 4: Brain Challenge
Working furiously to complete the hardest brain challenge so far! We had to decipher a code and then translate that into English....it was all very tricky!

Physical Challenge for Day 4.
Mrs Young is a complete genius with the challenges she provides for us. Today one member of our team had to hold a cricket bat in one hand just above the rail of our deck. Teams were eliminated as their cricket bat touched the rail. The times ranged from 18 seconds to the winning time of 3 minutes and 44 seconds....Erica in 'Deep Blue' won the game!!!
Erica: "This challenge was painful but I didn't find it that hard and could've kept going if I needed to."

Starting Day 4 of Survivor!
Day 4 began this afternoon. We are all working so much better in our teams and the scores are incredibly close. We wrote down the riddle for the Brain Challenge which Mrs Young warned was going to be a difficult one! Here are a few of our groups doing the prep work for Day 4.

Physical Challenge for Survivor Day 3
The Physical Challenge involved each team transferring 15 pebbles from one container to another using only a straw. This was hilarious to watch and not as easy as we first thought.
Brain Challenge for Survivor Day 3
The Brain Challenge for Survivor Day 3 was broken into two parts. The first part involved completing a wordfind and the second part had us using certain letters of the wordfind to create a phrase.

Our Puppet Theatres
During this term we have been working on creating puppet theatres and puppets. Every Friday we take part in Drama with Ms Jackson and she wanted to challenge our drama skills by having us work with puppets as we perform plays from the school journals. Mrs Young helped us construct and design the puppet theatres and now they are finally finished........

Survivor!!!
Every year during Term 4 our class plays the game of 'Survivor'. This is a game that has been invented by our teacher to challenge our team building, literacy, maths, artistic and time-management skills over four weeks. To start the game our teams were randomly selected - then we had to work out a team name and design a cover for our Survivor Diary.
As teams we have to complete certain tasks like recording how we are coping being 'shipwrecked' on a deserted island. We have to build a shelter, find food and prepare it and eventually work out how we are going to be rescued.
Part of each day involves us completing challenges...a physical challenge and a brain challenge. Mrs Young writes each challenge up as a riddle.....
Then the challenge begins. Our first physical challenge involved thowing hoops over wickets and our brain challenge had us looking for treasure hidden on a treasure map.
